Mach-Zehnder integrated interferometer


The Mach-Zehnder integrated interferometer is an optical spectrophotometer fabricated by photolithography and high energy ion implantation on lithium niobate, an important material for non-linear optical applications used extensively in the telecoms market.

This apparatus was developed in collaboration with OHB for the monitoring of atmospheric gases from the space in the framework of various projects funded by ASI and ESA. Its optical window span from visible to near infrared light, which is suitable for measurement of CO2 and water vapor concentration.
