{"id":11044,"date":"2022-08-05T10:25:47","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T08:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/digital-corner-project-kicks-off-thanks-to-funding-from-mise\/"},"modified":"2023-01-10T16:37:05","modified_gmt":"2023-01-10T15:37:05","slug":"digital-corner-project-kicks-off-thanks-to-funding-from-mise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/en\/digital-corner-project-kicks-off-thanks-to-funding-from-mise\/","title":{"rendered":"Digital CorNeR project kicks off thanks to funding from MISE"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>5G technology to immersively and interactively experience events remotely<\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MISTER<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNR<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consorzioproambiente.it\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Proambiente<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.music-academy.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Music Academy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lucianopavarottifoundation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Luciano Pavarotti Foundation<\/a> partners are awarded co-funding from the Ministry of Economic Development (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mise.gov.it\/index.php\/it\/normativa\/notifiche-e-avvisi\/progetto-5g-audiovisivo-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5G audiovisual project<\/a>) to implement the <strong>Digital CorNeR<\/strong> project.<\/p>\n<p>The project activities will focus on the realization of <strong>immersive content<\/strong> that, exploiting the high performance of 5G networks in terms of bandwidth and latency, will be tested through <em>use cases<\/em> during musical, educational, tourist-recreational events.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve the goal, the CNR Conference Center in Bologna will be upgraded, with the creation of a <strong>control room<\/strong> that, interacting through 5G technology, will allow the <strong>production of usable content<\/strong> with emerging human-machine interfaces (e.g., augmented, virtual, immersive and interactive reality, voice recognition, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>This infrastructure will be complemented by <strong>two dedicated laboratories<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>SED Space &#8211; Digital Event Room<\/strong>, will aim to develop experimental, immersive content based on augmented, virtual, immersive and interactive reality;<\/li>\n<li><strong>5G-TUR Lab<\/strong>, will aim to test the full usability and interactivity of augmented and virtual reality content, particularly aimed at the tourism-recreation sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>invaluable collaboration<\/strong> of the partners Music Academy and Fondazione Luciano Pavarotti will allow the realization of two <em>use cases<\/em>, which will be an opportunity to test the implemented technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Music Academy will provide the <a href=\"https:\/\/bologna-creativehub.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Creative Hub<\/a> (a new center for training, innovation and promotion in music, art and entertainment) for the realization of a <strong>musical event<\/strong> that, thanks to 5G, will be possible to enjoy in immersive mode also at the SED Space.<\/p>\n<p>The Luciano Pavarotti Foundation&#8217;s partnership will allow for the 360\u00b0 streaming of one of the events planned during the third edition of the <strong>annual &#8220;Musica Maestro!&#8221;
