{"id":11052,"date":"2022-03-07T12:36:24","date_gmt":"2022-03-07T11:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/sustainable-solutions-for-packaging-the-webinar-with-cna-emilia-romagna\/"},"modified":"2023-01-10T17:16:04","modified_gmt":"2023-01-10T16:16:04","slug":"sustainable-solutions-for-packaging-the-webinar-with-cna-emilia-romagna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/en\/sustainable-solutions-for-packaging-the-webinar-with-cna-emilia-romagna\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainable solutions for packaging: the webinar with CNA Emilia-Romagna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During a <a href=\"https:\/\/tecnopolo.bo.cnr.it\/wip-webinar-cna-materiali-design-e-competenze-per-il-food-packaging\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">webinar<\/span><\/a> last Thursday, March 3, organized by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnaemiliaromagna.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNA Emilia-Romagna<\/a><\/span> in collaboration with MISTER, topics that are now at <strong>the center of the European debate<\/strong> were addressed, focusing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">European Green Deal<\/span><\/a>. In particular, the event focused on adopting <strong>innovation and circular economy strategies<\/strong> to broaden the frontiers of the <strong>packaging world<\/strong>, toward increasingly sustainable and conscious production and use.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion addressed the <strong>practical aspects<\/strong> of the issue, and MISTER researchers Anna Sagnella and Marco Ardoino reported on <strong>virtuous examples<\/strong> on a national and international scale of <strong>production and business initiatives<\/strong> based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <strong>use of recycled materials<\/strong> (mainly plastic) as an alternative to virgin or common plastic;<\/li>\n<li><strong>re\/eco-design approaches to product and packaging<\/strong>, some of these fundamental to optimizing recycling supply chains;<\/li>\n<li>systems for <strong>reuse<\/strong> of containers and packaging.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also presented <strong>was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisita.parma.it\/aziende\/fdir-eco-pack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ECO-PACK<\/span><\/a> project<\/strong> &#8211; an innovation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laboratoriomister.it\/eco-pack-prosegue-progetto-promosso-da-fondirigenti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><\/span>and educational project funded by<\/a> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondirigenti.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fondirigenti<\/a><\/span> and in which MISTER was a technology partner alongside the training providers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cisita.parma.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CISITA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fav.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAV<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cis-formazione.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIS<\/a> &#8211; which aims to create a <strong>model of skills<\/strong> needed for the adoption of advanced sustainable packaging technologies.<\/p>\n<p>During the focus group <strong>with companies,<\/strong> several issues mainly related to plastics were examined, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>legislative initiatives<\/strong> to reduce its consumption;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>technological difficulties<\/strong> of the food packaging industry (but not only) in replacing this material with, for example, compostables and bioplastics;<\/li>\n<li>the <strong>optimization of the management<\/strong> of plastics throughout their lifecycle so that their environmental impact is always less;<\/li>\n<li>future <strong>prospects<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Discussions with businesses laid the groundwork for opening up <strong>new forms of collaboration<\/strong> guided by the ambitious-but fundamental-goal of better and more respectful use of the resources at our disposal.
