The project, named\u00a0<b>E.T. CompleX<\/b> and co-financed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifabfoundation.org\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development (iFAB)<\/a>\u00a0as a part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifabfoundation.org\/it\/ifab-2023-call-for-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Call for Projects 2023-2024<\/a>, aims to revolutionize the sustainable management of complex urban areas, starting from the CNR Research Area of Bologna, with the possibility of a future expansions to other urban environments such as hospitals and port areas.<\/p>\n<p>E.T. CompleX aims to develop a\u00a0<b>digital twin platform of the Tecnopole CNR and the CNR Research Area of Bologna<\/b>. The platform will integrate the sensory data collected through a sophisticated sensing network applied on plants in the Area, with the available data about the <b>energy consumption<\/b>, the <b>waste<\/b> generation and <b>mobility<\/b>. Thanks to the application of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and data analysis, the project allows to carry-out simulations to reach the <b>zero-kilometer carbon neutrality<\/b> target.<\/p>\n<p>The focus of the digital twin platform will be the ability to analyze the <b>CO2 emissions generated<\/b> by the examined complex system. With the use of <b>advanced predictive templates<\/b>, the project will estimate how many trees are necessary to compensate the emissions, defining the path towards a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of this project is possibile thanks to the strategic <b>partnership<\/b> between MISTER, Toscana Innova and the startup Lookin, who join their experience and their ability to innovate, always keeping an eye on sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>In parallel to E.T. CompleX project kick-off, <b>Toscana Innova has entered the company structure<\/b> of MISTER Smart Innovation, further consolidating the relationship between the two technological partners in the innovation landscape, creating synergies and opportunities for new initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The E.T. CompleX project is a further step towards a <b>sustainable future<\/b>, merging competences and resources to deal with urban challenges in a smart and efficient way.
