IoT device for waste collection

Design and development consultancy for a prototype of a stand-alone IoT device consisting of a processing unit, a camera, a Wi-Fi connection module, and a touch display, all managed by firmware and enclosed by appropriate packaging.

The device will automatically capture the image of the barcode on a product’s packaging when the user shows it to the camera. Then, once the device is connected to a local Wi-Fi network, it will send the number corresponding to the bar code to a server. In response the device will show the information for the proper differentiated disposal of the differnt parts that make up the packaging.
