Hub Culture and Creativity: MISTER enters on stage for the cultura sector innovation
MISTER Smart Innovation was admitted as an affiliate to the Hub Culture and Creativity of the Emilia-Romagna Region, a new steering cabin that operates as a point of convergence, synthesis and representation of the Cultural and Creative Industries sector.
The HUB was established in implementation of the Smart Specialization Strategy 2021-2027, approved by the Legislative Assembly on June 31st 2021, which envisions the creation of regionally based Hubs and Competence Centers intended as physical or virtual places, aimed at stimulating networking activities, encouraging business growth and development also from an innovation perspective of active community engagement.
What are the HUB’s activity?
In this context, the HUB will be responsible for aggregating and providing support to activities of calls, by training and supporting operators. Furthermore, 3 work tracks will be created:
- CREATIVITY IN POLICY: policy design for construction of specific support measures for individual CCI sub-sectors
- BEYOND LABS: shared tool for accessing spoke service offerings and open catalog of experience and expertise, shared interface for presenting the range of expertise and services of regional research labs dedicated to CCI digitizatio
- E.S.K. : shared tool for accessing spoke service offerings and open catalog of experience and expertise
Several entities are involved in the HUB:
- the Emilia-Romagna Region, as promoter and coordinator of the initiative and specifically the Sector Cultural Activities, Economy of Culture, Youth;
- the different sectors of the Emilia-Romagna Region’s General Directorate for Knowledge, Research, Labor, Business that deal with calls and initiatives that can have an impact on the Cultural and Creative Industries;
- ART-ER, which provides operational and strategic support for the management of the activities of the regional Create, Innovate and Build Clust-ERs, as stakeholders of the different industrial sectors that make up the sector;
- the spoke that have shown interest in taking part in this action through a public expression of interest;
- the affiliate members, organizations that operate on the ground and whose main focus revolves around the world of culture and creativity.
A heterogeneous group that aims to operate as a point of convergence, synthesis and reflection to carry out systemic actions for the innovation of the entire regional cultural and creative sector. In fact, the motivation and the characterizing element of the Hub is the “policy design” of new priority interventions for the development and growth of the sectors related to Culture and Creativity, through the focus of incisive and suitable tools to gather concrete needs and implement interventions responding to them.
