Smart Pipeline Inspection Gauge

The objective of the project presented by CII Guatelli S.p.A. is the design and development of a diagnostic pipeline inspection tool equipped with sensors to replace conventional electro-mechanical systems. The system allows for complete visual monitoring of pipelines through illumination and laser gauging, as well as pipeline mapping through accelerometers and gyroscopes.

The Smart PIG (Smart Pipeline Inspection Gauge) “Made in Italy” project, , in which MISTER is a technology partner, is an industrial research and experimental development project approved under the call for proposals “Projects for innovation and product or service diversification for SMEs” POR-FESR 2014-2020 Action 1.1.2 Axis 1 DGR 1305/2016.
