Sustainable Innovation: the E.T CompleX project’s kick-off and the strategic partnership with Toscana Innova
A new research and innovation project has started with the collaboration between MISTER, Toscana Innova and the startup Lookin. The project, named E.T. CompleX and co-financed by International Foundation Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Human Development (iFAB) as a part of Call for Projects 2023-2024, aims to revolutionize the sustainable management of complex urban areas, starting from the CNR Research Area of Bologna, with the possibility of a future expansions to other urban environments such as hospitals and port areas.
E.T. CompleX aims to develop a digital twin platform of the Tecnopole CNR and the CNR Research Area of Bologna. The platform will integrate the sensory data collected through a sophisticated sensing network applied on plants in the Area, with the available data about the energy consumption, the waste generation and mobility. Thanks to the application of cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence and data analysis, the project allows to carry-out simulations to reach the zero-kilometer carbon neutrality target.
The focus of the digital twin platform will be the ability to analyze the CO2 emissions generated by the examined complex system. With the use of advanced predictive templates, the project will estimate how many trees are necessary to compensate the emissions, defining the path towards a more sustainable future.
The implementation of this project is possibile thanks to the strategic partnership between MISTER, Toscana Innova and the startup Lookin, who join their experience and their ability to innovate, always keeping an eye on sustainability.
In parallel to E.T. CompleX project kick-off, Toscana Innova has entered the company structure of MISTER Smart Innovation, further consolidating the relationship between the two technological partners in the innovation landscape, creating synergies and opportunities for new initiatives.
The E.T. CompleX project is a further step towards a sustainable future, merging competences and resources to deal with urban challenges in a smart and efficient way. The partnership between MISTER, Toscana Innova and Lookin, marks a significative chapter in the evolution of urban technologies, providing advanced solutions to deal with environmental challenges and to build more resilient and sustainable cities for the future.
