ARENA: the new project for the digital transition of the regional manufacturing companies
New project funded by the European Regional Development Fund thanks to the call for System Actions to support the Regional Network for Digital Business Transition kicks off. The project, named “ARENA – Augmented Reality to Enable New digital Applications“, will provide businesses with a greater awareness of the potential and capabilities that augmented reality and 4.0 technologies in general can offer to companies. MISTER will take part in the project as access window to the Digital Transition Regional Network.
The objective of ARENA is to demonstrate how augmented and immersive reality can be applied to the manufacturing area. Furthermore the project wants to show how these technologies can become the backbone of the digital growth of all the companies, also of the small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
As part of the ARENA project, MISTER will conduct concrete case studies involving staff training, optimization of production processes and simplification of maintenance activities. These case studies will be used for the development of a guide to the introduction of immersive reality technologies in the company. The guide will contain useful information and advice for this purpose and will be available for consultation by all interested companies.
In the end an assessment will be proposed to at least 20 regional companies. The administration of this assessment will be used to test their level of digital maturity. The results will give us a general ida of the average level of digitalization of the small and medium-sized enterprises on the territory and they will be used to direct the network to fill the most significant gaps.
The project will consoled the activity of MISTER Smart Innovation and his important role as access window to the Digital Transition Regional Network. In addition, MISTER, through the ARENA project, will contribute to the development of the network favoring its action at both at the territorial and sectorial level.
