The kick-off of three research project for Material Innovation and Manufacturing 4.0
Thanks to the funds of the Regional Program of the European Regional Development Fund, the Emilia-Romagna Region, with the Call for strategic industrial research project targeted to the priority areas of the Strategy of Smart Specialization PR-FESR 2023-2024, co-funds R&D projects presented by research labs, universities, research organizations and bodies accredited to the High Technology Network of the Region.
MISTER, in the Materials Innovation and Manufacturing 4.0 sector, is involved as lead partner and partner in 3 research project aimed to contribute to technological project and to the economical growth of the territory: INSIDE, MAGMOVE and KnowledgeX. These projects pertain, specifically, to the S3 Regional Specialization Areas named “Materials innovation” and “Manufacturing 4.0 and future evolutions”.
INSIDE: INdustrial IoT Standard for Interoperable Devices of Emilia-Romagna
The INSIDE project has the goal of developing a universal standard and data format for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) that promotes the interoperability and security of the devices. In an era where the connectivity and the interconnection of networks are becoming increasingly crucial, INSIDE aims to simplify the implementation of customizable and scalable IIoT solutions, respecting strict informatics security standards.
MAGMOVE: sustainable magnetic materials in high efficiency electric engines for green transition
The MAGMOVE project focuses on the identification and development of sustainable magnetic materials for high efficiency electric engines, with the goal of reducing the use of critical raw material and promoting the transition towards a sustainable electrical mobility. Thanks to the collaboration between research labs and sectorial companies, MAGMOVE aims to create the prototipe of a new generation electric engine with improved performances, thus demonstrating the potential of alternative magnetic materials in the field of automotive industries.
KnowledgeX – eXpert Knowledge formalization for a human centered manufacturing
The project KnowledgeX faces the challenge of the progressive loss of competences in the manufacturing sector, developing a modular and configurable platform for the formalization and structuring of people know-how. Through the interaction with expert operators and the information coming from machines, KnowledgeX aims to create a digital environment where the skills of the operators can be documented and transferred efficiently, thus simplifying the formation of professional profiles and supporting the production management.
In conclusion, the projects INSIDE, MAGMOVE and KnowledgeX important initiatives in the field of industrial research, contributing to the promotion of the innovation, sustainability and competitiveness of the companies of the territory.
