PNRR: Design-IT project in AI and digital twin admitted
DESIGN-IT (DEcision Science desIGN platform for digItal Twins) aims to develop a decision support platform that leverages artificial intelligence techniques and digital twin approaches, from multi-scale material properties to manufacturing applications.
The project aims to develop new platforms capable of supporting complex decisions in advanced manufacturing applications. At the same time, the platform will enable users to design and generate new applications based on artificial intelligence using a zero-code approach, without requiring expertise in software development.
A total investment of more than 5 million euros for a 36-month project
DESIGN-IT has been admitted under the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy (MIMIT) innovation initiatives and Next Generation Europe (PNRR) funding. Coordinated by Spindox S.p.A., the DESIGN-IT consortium includes MISTER Smart Innovation, Reepack and the DAIMON team of the Institute for the Study of Nanostructured Materials of the National Research Council (CNR-ISMN).
A multilevel approach to digital innovation for sustainable production
DESIGN-IT focuses on a fully digital approach to innovation and emerging data-driven technologies:
- Artificial intelligence-based frameworks for decision support in complex environments.
- Digital twins interconnected at multiple levels and scales of target systems, from material properties to complex processes and production systems.
- Development of no-code platforms.
- Advanced software technologies and infrastructure.
